Mindful awareness is an innate human capacity, under-utilized in our culture. It’s a quality of attention and a set of practices, including meditation, that cultivate ease, contentment and wellbeing over time. With practice, we observe our experience and the ways in which the mind provides a running commentary on all that comes and goes in experience. With practice, we lessen reactivity, which allows us to be aware of, and skillfully respond to, ourselves, others and the circumstances in which we find ourselves. With practice, we live more balanced and healthier lives, and learn to take the one we have for granted less and less and come to enjoy it more and more.

mindfulness, the mini-series begins week of june 8
Each of the 4 sessions in mindfulness, the mini-series focuses on teachings and practices that deepen mindful awareness and support skillful living. Group discussion is included. The series includes a retreat-style weekend practice day in the studio. meets on four consecutive monday evenings, 6:30-8:00 pm. For adults of any age. No experience with mindfulness or meditation required.

- per-person program fee of $240 includes 12 educational hours, mindfulness book and meditation cd.

These Tuesday groups are specifically designed for adults with some mindfulness meditation experience who are looking for ongoing support in a practice community. Weekly sessions include formal group practice, discussion of individual practice and a shared theme-based talk that supports members’ intentions to integrate mindfulness with everyday life.
Choose from a morning (9:45-10:45 am), noon (12-1 pm) or evening time (7:30-8:30 pm). Pre-registration is required. The commitment is for 6 weeks ($120 for 6 one-hr sessions). These groups can begin with as few as 4 members registered per group.
day of mindfulness (saturday june 13)
Spring into practice with a day of mindfulness. This program offers dedicated time in a peaceful setting where adults can practice mindfulness together and learn the relevance and benefits of these ancient teachings to our modern, everyday lives. The day includes periods of sitting, walking and eating meditation, key mindfulness teachings and practices, time for individual reflection and group discussion. Bring your own brown bag lunch (peanut free please). Yoga mats, cushions, chairs, tea and water are provided. No prior experience required. Just show up, sit down and stay awhile.

sound healing event (sunday june 14)
An amazing afternoon awaits! This special event is co-sponosred by Pamela Ressler, RN, founder of Stress Resources and Mary Ann Christie Burnside, EdD, founder of the mindfulness studio. Come join us as Joe Hayes of SoundScapers builds a cathedral of exquisite sound and tone in this group sound healing practice. Be bathed in chant, guided imagery, the didgeridoo, the shruti box, trance Native American drumming, and over a dozen crystal quartz and Tibetan sound bowls, in a therapeutic and deeply relaxing 90-minute practice. You’ll feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and literally retuned. Register early as space is limited and these events typically sell out.

happy-ness hour for families, 3-4pm
In this monthly class designed for children ages 3 -11 and parents/caregivers, we’ll practice mindfulness together through music, movement, play and family-friendly meditations. Pre-registration required. $20 per adult, $5 per child; $40 family cap.
yoga dance, 4:30-5:30 pm
A fun, user-friendly class that energizes and balances mind, body, heart and spirit. Good for all parts of you! Combines yogic breath practice, meditation, user-friendly movement and mindfulness with an eclectic music mix. Based on the Kripalu Yoga Center’s DansKinetics® tradition. Pre-registration required. $20 fee includes "community practice" session immediately following class.

Drop in to this monthly session for adults in the community. Explore mindfulness and learn to meditate together. Time for discussion included. Drop-in session; donation basis.
